Events are generally held on the third Thursdays of the month in Seattle and on undesigned Thursdays on the Eastside, unless otherwise noted. Girl Power Hour hosts various networking, professional development and member events. Event themes, details and venues are subject to change but please save the date for several exciting events in 2011. All events are 21+. Join the fun!

January Networking Event, Seattle, 1/20/11
What are you waiting for? Start Now! at PNK Ultra Lounge
Get glamorous and join us for stylish networking at PNK Ultra Lounge for cocktails and convos as we feature local sports host Jen Mueller, creator and founder of Talk Sporty To Me whose TV and sports experience lends actions tips on the topic “What are you waiting for? Start now!” that you can use immediately to empower and kick off your Glambitious New Year. February Networking Event, Seattle, 2/10/11
Be Dazzled – Style Secrets, Sultry Sounds & Lots of Sparkle! At Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler
Guests will be encouraged to try on jewelry to “find their style” and create “wish lists” for the Valentine’s Day holiday. We’ll learn more about the Hope Heart Institutes “Women Take Heart” program and hear from Renessa Rios, local author and matchmaker who specializes in dating right and networking with a purpose. Guests will get swag, win door prizes, sip cocktails, taste decadent delights and indulge in the award-winning sounds of Spanish-style guitarist Andre Feriante.

March Networking Event, Seattle, 3/10/11
Glam 101 – Glamorous Tips, Tricks of the Trade & Makeover Reveal
Check out the hottest trends in hair, makeup and skin-care with interactive “styling stations” that feature glamorous tips as well as mini-services and dry styling. Nominate yourself or a deserving friend between February 10th and March 5th to win a makeover that includes cut, color and makeup. 4 deserving business women will reveal their new look at the event. The event will be framed with networking, photo opps, swag bags, door prizes, sips, sweat treats, hors d’eourves and more.

March Tips & Sips Professional Development Series, Bellevue, 3/31/11
“Sheconomics” – The Buying Power of Women and Brands at Hotel Bellevue
Learn from experts how the buying power of women is taking over. A special professional development and networking event that brings the style and sophistication that you’ve come to expect from a Girl Power Hour for a special version of GPH that will include panelists (TBA), sips, hors d’ouevres and more from Hotel Bellevue.

April Swap, 4/10/11
Swap Till You Drop! The Northwest’s largest Swap and Social Networking event at SoDo Park
Bring your fashionable or trendy gently used or new items for the ultimate Girl Power Hour “Spring Cleaning” Swap Till You Drop Event! Cocktails, networking, swapping, photo booth and opportunities, apps from Herban Feast, sweets from Sugar Rush, mini fashion show for swappers showcasing their new stylish wears, be crafty in the DIY studio, live DJ, Seattle’s most notable Fashion Bloggers and authorities on-site to assist with swapping and so much more! Any leftover items will be donated to the Jubilee Women’s Center.

May Networking Event, Bellevue, 5/19/11
Fit & Fab event at Pure Barre Bellevue
Health and wellness is much more than exercise, it’s a mind/body balance, especially for women. The GPH fitness challenge will culminate at this event with a celebration of our dedication to better physical and mental health. Sip low-cal cocktails, take in fitness demos, get swag, network, and win door prizes while learning about Pure Barre, SHE Wellness and how to integrate the triad of health into your life.

June Networking Event, Eastside, 6/22/11
A Perfect Pair – Women, Wine and 3rd Annual Shoe Drive for Soles 4 Souls
Celebrate Women, Wine & Shoes with wine pairings, shoe drive and more. Door Prizes will include things that come in “pairs.” Could that mean shoes? Bring a pair of new or gently worn pair of shoes to support our 4th Annual Soles 4 Souls shoe drive.

July Networking Event, 7/21/11
Summer Social in the City
Every Summer we like to slow down a bit, head outside and enjoy the weather. Last year we hosted an event on the deck at Joey Lake Union with lots of summer sass, tastings, cocktails, swag and social hotness. Expect nothing less this year!

Girl Power Hour hosts their annual Anniversary Party during Fashion Week at The Bellevue Collection; featuring a night of fashion, stylish networking, philanthropy and social glam. This event is for men and women and is not to be missed!

October Networking Event, 10/20/11
Pink Power Hour Breast Cancer Awareness Event, Location TBD
As women, we feel that it’s important to highlight the fight against something that could affect any one of us. We’ve worked with The American Cancer Society and Get Hitched Give Hope over the past few years to support this cause. Be on the look out for pink cupcakes and cocktails while you network with other and learn more about our featured charity and partners. More details to be announced.

November Professional Development Series at Hotel 1000, 11/17/11
Follow Your Heart – Turning Your Business Ideas into Reality (Things you NEED to Know!)
Twice a year Girl Power Hour provides a panel discussion and forum to discuss hot topics in tech and business. Speakers have included women from Babylegs, RealNetworks.com, BlogHer.com, Point It Inc., Hotel Max, Green Rubino, Intersect.com, Whrrl.com, Jennyonthespot.com, Wong Doody and more.

3rd Annual GPH Holiday Cocktail Party & Gift Drive
Join us for our 3rd Annual Holiday Cocktail Party and gift drive for Jubilee Women’s Center. Take your photo with Santa, get swag (first 100), win door prizes, sip cocktails, snack on delectables, and groove to holiday-inspired tunes.
