Obession with Necklace & Charms by zongher2 featuring heart jewelry

Project: Dainty, Pretty, Chain Necklaces  with Charm

I’m very much obsessed right now with dainty pretty charms and chain necklaces.  I’ve been layering chain necklaces three or more at once or just wearing one necklace simply alone.  To supply my obsession, I’ve been making my own necklaces and recycling what I have as well. This is a fun and quick DIY Project you can do literally in minutes.

Supplies:  craft wire cutters, craft pliers, jewelry clasp, chains,  and charms

The Secret:  Go to the bead store or a craft store and buy chains, measure them out and use them to make your chains.  Another idea is to go through your own jewelry box for chains you don’t wear and vamp up those.

Right this moment I am kind of obsessed with ruffles and polka dots.  Especially if the color teal is involved.  This month I wanted to decorate this window I have in my small apartment.   I saw these curtains in a Better Homes and Garden magazine a while ago and haven’t been able to stop thinking about them.  I knew I had to make them. Summer is here and it’s a great time to accessorize. Here are two of my favorite accessories I get compliments on all the time. I wear these pieces with my nautical fashions, blazers, khakis, and a variety of other things I have in my closet. They are very simple to make and so easy to cherish.

It’s almost swimsuit season, well that’s what we are hoping in Seattle.   You don’t necessarily have to revamp your used swimwear you can also revamp any new swimsuits you’ve purchased for this year as well. This DIY Project is adding simple bead embellishments to your swimsuit to spice it up.  I will be using two bikinis as an example, but will give other ideas in the end of the blog about how to add things to one suit swimwear as well.  Please feel free to email me with any questions.  Photography is not my strength, so bare with me on the photos.

When I was four my Mother and Grandmother taught me how to cross stitch.  That’s my first recollection of sewing.  I’m not an expert hand sewer or even incredible on a sewing machine, but sewing taught me a lot.  My mother had her own Hmong Craft business and because of that I was raised in a crafty environment. She raised me to Do It Your Self everything. I watched my mother create pieces of art, clothing, and solutions with crafts.  A lot of that did rub off on me and nurture my creativity.  I’m the kind of craft gal that’s not an expert at one particular thing, but I can pick up easily on how to fabricate a product through crafts and make it my own.  This creativity has taken me down the road of making my own clothes, jewelry, friends’ wedding veils, bags, decorations, handmade cards, and variety of other random items.

The uniqueness of this blog is to not reinvent the wheel of creating something beautiful, useful, or fashionable.  But to keep crafts simple and to make your own stylish pieces without spending a ton of money.  The pieces that inspire me are current trends, fashion, and the seasons.  I hope to inspire you to create your own crafts, clothes, and couture without the cost.  I also hope that you will inspire me as well and send ideas of what we might be able to create together.

My first project is the “Sparkling Shoes”.  When I first saw these Christian Louboutin shoes I fell madly in love, I still dream about owning them.  My boyfriend after seeing the price of the shoes (Over $2,000) said, “I’d rather buy you a car, at least you can get around in a car then walk in those shoes.”  I couldn’t help but laugh, because it was semi true.  It would be difficult making something exactly like this so instead I made something with some of the elements.  Which include a pair of pink heels and bling.

THE INSPIRATION !
